Mr Suggett is a General and Colorectal Surgeon who studied medicine at Oxford University before completing his surgical training in the West Midlands. His higher degree from Birmingham was is the proteomics (protein changes)  associated with colorectal cancer. He is a consultant and Clinical Lead for colorectal surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and practices at the Priory Hospital, Edgbaston. He has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and hernia surgery including complex abdominal wall repair using open and endoscopic component separation techniques. His reseach interests include anal fistulas and inflammatory bowel disease. He is fully accredited to perform the HALO procedure as well as other haemorrhoid (pile) treatments.

He is married with 2 children. In his spare time, he enjoys computers, gardening, reading and archery.
